A creator suite and a click router are not the same purchase
Most people searching for a Beacons alternative are not unhappy with Beacons. They have simply realised they are paying for a suite when they only use one part of it. Beacons is a creator-economy platform. Alongside the link page it offers things like a media kit, a store, email tools and AI features. If brand deals and product sales are how you earn, that bundle is the point.
HeyBio is not a suite and never will be. It is one page at heybio.io/yourname, built to get a tap from Instagram or TikTok all the way through to your subscription platform without the visitor giving up on the way. It does that by pushing clicks out of the in-app browser into the phone's real browser, then telling you how many clicks that rescued.
So the honest framing is not better or worse. It is whether your income comes from sponsors and products, or from subscribers you have to route traffic to.
Side by side
| HeyBio | Beacons | |
|---|---|---|
| Product scope | One link page and the analytics behind it. Nothing else | A broader creator suite that bundles several tools around the link page |
| Selling products | Not supported. You link out to wherever the money is processed | Storefront features are part of the platform |
| Media kit for brand deals | Not offered and not planned | A core part of what they are known for |
| Email marketing | Not offered | Included in the suite |
| In-app browser escape | Taps from the Instagram and TikTok in-app browser are handed to the device's real browser, with rescued clicks counted in the dashboard | Check their current feature list. We will not characterise what we cannot verify |
| Per-link geo rules | Any single button can be hidden in chosen countries or shown only there, failing closed on unknown countries. Pro | See their feature list for country-level controls |
| AI on the page | You type the change you want. It picks from a fixed set of operations covering text, colours, button order and photo visibility, and cannot repoint a link | AI features are part of their offering. Their site lists the current set |
| Managing several creators | Agency plan covers up to 10 models at 99 euros a month, then 7.50 per extra model | Check their pricing page for team or multi-account arrangements |
Who Beacons is genuinely better for
Stay with Beacons if any of the following describes your month.
You earn from brand partnerships. A media kit that pulls in your own numbers and presents them to a brand is real work, and doing it manually in a slide deck is worse. HeyBio has nothing like it and no plan to build one.
You sell your own digital products or merchandise. Beacons keeps a storefront and the link page in one login, so a customer never leaves the flow. HeyBio takes no payments at all. If you sold something through HeyBio you would still be linking out to whatever processes the money.
You run an email list. Owning the addresses is the strongest asset a creator can build, because it survives every platform ban. A tool that combines the page, the signup and the sending is genuinely simpler than gluing three products together.
You want fewer logins and fewer invoices. Consolidation has real value. Five specialist tools that each do one thing beautifully still cost you five subscriptions and five afternoons of setup.
And you should look at their pricing yourself rather than trusting a comparison page. Plans and regional pricing move, so check their current pricing page for what applies to you today.
If you took Beacons away and you would miss the media kit or the store, this comparison is already answered. Keep it.
Who is better off with HeyBio
HeyBio fits when your money is already being made somewhere else and the page's only job is delivery.
That is normal for creators on OnlyFans, Fansly or Fanvue, and for Telegram or Snapchat sellers. You do not need a storefront because the platform is the storefront. You need the tap to survive the trip. The in-app browser is where that trip breaks, because the visitor arrives at a signup or payment screen with no saved password and no card on file. HeyBio pushes them out to the real browser and reports the rescued clicks, so the effect is measurable rather than claimed.
Geo filtering is the second fit. On Pro you can hide a specific button in chosen countries or show it only there. It fails closed, so anyone whose country cannot be determined does not see a geo-restricted link. There is no equivalent decision in a media kit or an email tool.
The third is scale across people rather than across features. Agency is 99 euros a month for up to 10 models and 7.50 for each one after that, which suits a manager running several pages rather than one creator running several businesses.
Supporting the lot: analytics down to hour of day and referrer, a custom domain we connect for you, AI editing that changes text, colours, button order and photo visibility but never where a link points, versioning, and full export. Start 9 euros a month, Pro 29, cheaper annually, 7-day trial, 30 days money back.
Moving from Beacons without losing followers
- Work out what you would actually lose. List every Beacons feature you used in the last 30 days. If the store, the email list or the media kit is on that list, plan to keep Beacons and put HeyBio in front of it rather than replacing it.
- Export your email subscribers before you change anything. Addresses are the one asset you cannot rebuild, and you want them in your own file regardless of which tool wins.
- Build the HeyBio page with your subscription platform as the top button and your existing store or booking page as a normal link further down. It stays reachable, it just stops being the front door.
- Test the escape behaviour by sending yourself the HeyBio link on Instagram and TikTok and tapping it from the app. Confirm you land in your real browser before you change your bio.
- Switch the bio link, keep the old page live for a fortnight with one button pointing at HeyBio, and compare the click totals across both.
- Only then decide what to cancel. Running both for a month costs less than discovering in week three that you needed the media kit after all.
Questions
Can HeyBio replace Beacons completely?
Only if you never used the store, the email tools or the media kit. HeyBio does not sell products, does not send email and does not build media kits. For a creator whose income is subscriptions on OnlyFans, Fansly or Fanvue, that is nothing lost. For a creator living on brand deals, it is the whole product missing.
Can I run both at the same time?
Yes, and plenty of people should. Put HeyBio in your bio because that is where the in-app browser problem lives, and link to your existing store or booking page as one of the buttons. You keep the checkout you already have and gain the click data and the browser escape.
Does HeyBio do a media kit?
No. It has no follower-count aggregation, no brand-facing profile and no outreach tooling. If your income depends on presenting your numbers to sponsors, that gap will annoy you every week, and the honest recommendation is to keep a tool that does it.
What does the Agency plan actually cover?
99 euros a month for up to 10 models, then 7.50 a month for each model beyond that. Each model gets their own page and their own analytics. Isolation between accounts is enforced in the database with row level security and is tested before every release.
Is the AI editing going to break my links?
It cannot. The AI chooses from a fixed list of operations covering text, colours, button order and which photos are visible. Changing where a link points is not on that list. Every change is versioned as well, so if you dislike the result you restore the previous version in one click.
